Sustainability is built into Provenance at the community, building, and landscape scale. The plan brings together walkable neighborhoods, open space, trails, bike connections, water-wise landscaping, energy-efficient design, and consistency with the Climate Action Plan to support a healthier, more resilient community.
Infrastructure Designed as Open Space
Provenance’s stormwater system is planned as both essential infrastructure and a community amenity. The Nature Park and Greenways are designed to capture, detain, treat, and slowly release stormwater through seasonal water features, detention and water-quality basins, bioretention areas, bioswales, and landscaped open spaces. These features also create places for trails, seating, recreation, and connection with nature.

The plan is designed to achieve Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions at full buildout through efficient design, reduced vehicle dependence, renewable energy opportunities, water conservation, low-impact development stormwater strategies, and climate-resilient landscaping.
