Open Space and Healthy Living

Parks, trails, greenways, and landscaped corridors are woven throughout Provenance to encourage mobility, time outdoors, and everyday wellness.

Trails and Bike Lanes

Safe routes to schools are prioritized in residential neighborhoods through a hierarchy of street classifications and an extensive network of wide Class 1 trails along high-travel routes. Automobile dependence is reduced by linking homesites to daily goods and services, employment opportunities, and recreation in a manner that offers transit and mobility choices and is seamless within the neighborhoods.

Planned features include:

  • 33 miles of off-street multi-use (Class 1) recreational trails
  • 17 miles of on street (Class II) bike lanes
  • Signature landscaped corridors throughout the community

WELLNESS STATIONS

A Connected Circuit for Everyday Wellness

Planned as an internal circuit throughout Provenance, Wellness Stations create small, visible places to pause, move, gather, and connect along trails, sidewalks, and roadways. Each station is intended to offer its own wellness theme and may include seating, public art, bike repair, stationary fitness equipment, and accessible, dog-friendly drinking fountains — making healthy routines simple, social, and close to home.

OPEN SPACE

Room to Breathe, Explore, and Connect

Provenance’s open space is designed for more than beauty. These natural areas create places for passive recreation, seasonal stormwater management, visual screening, and sound abatement along the edges of the community.

NATURE PARK

A Signature Natural Destination

Stretching along the eastern edge of Provenance, the Nature Park is planned as a community-defining open space that connects to the Greenways and supports trails, passive recreation, environmental education, and regional stormwater management. Designed for seasonal conditions, it will offer residents a meaningful way to experience nature close to home.

GREENWAYS

Connected Open Spaces Through the Heart of Provenance

The Greenways extend through Provenance, linking neighborhoods, schools, parks, employment areas, and the Nature Park. Designed as linear park-like spaces, they will support trails, drainage, stormwater features, gathering areas, and community activity, helping create a strong sense of identity and connection throughout the community.
